Mother and Child series of watercolors and embroidery is centered around my relationship with my son and was made during the Covid-19 lockdowns. Being together 24/7 has challenged our capacity for acceptance and patience towards each other. I chose to work with water color to mimic this intensive blending between us. In some of the works, I added an echo of thread to the figures, piercing the paper in geometric shapes that go against the fluent water marks.
